To find out how many patents were filed per country, click on the appropriate continent and then move your mouse over the desired country. The value displayed represents the number of INPADOC families, or unique patents, within the desired country. These values were calculated by Thomson Innovation.
If you click on a country with an "i" button, the map will reveal a link to the International IP Overview that is set to display the desired country's patent activity. Certain countries will also reveal a pie chart, which displays the top 10 competitors in that country. Click on the company name to view its Company Profile.
